Timing Chain or belt
May I know if toyota corolla 2000 have a chain or timing belt?

If it has chain then after how much time do I need to replace it.

A 2000 Corolla has a chain, and I don't think it needs to be replaced unless it goes bad.

my 1999 had the chain so i assume all 8th gen have a chain.

at which point you will be replacing more than just the chain lol since 1zz is an interference engine.

but on the bright side, when i took apart my old engine with 136k the chain is still like new. i didn't measure for stretch, but the chain is still very solid and every link is tight.
