Have but not yet installed:

Brembo blank rotors (front, via PartsGeek.com)
Hawk ceramic pads (front, via AutoAnything)
Goodridge stainless steel brake lines (via FRSport.com)

Expecting to get a rear disc brake kit in about a week. Will replace brake fluid with Motul DOT "5.1" after installing that (with the SS lines).

I've heard people mention dual-piston calipers, but I haven't been able to find them available anywhere, except for "big brake" kits that won't fit inside 14" wheels. I'd like to hear any recommendations for replacement calipers.

Where are you getting your rear disk kit?

Is your car equipped with ABS?

Do them. Both front and rear. They're one of the best bang-for-the-buck mods IMO.

Does wonders to improve brake feel and fade resistance.

Should I not have? They were the only place I could find online that had the Brembo blank rotors. Even then, they themselves merely sourced from another company (who I guess doesn't have an online business) and shipped them to me with their label.

I had a good experience shopping with them; would recommend. Shipping was fast and not overpriced; I chose the least expensive option -- UPS Ground. The rotors arrived the very next day. The foglights arrived 3 days later. (Same price as the TYC foglights from that Logical website, but these are Sabry Lee brand; still glass not plastic though.)

The rotors and pads are actually a pretty good combo. I just need to change brake lines and bleed my calipers.

Can someone tell me the brake pad equivalent used in AE101/AE111 rear disc brake conversions? I thought it was the same as a particular Celica pad, but I don't know what year Celica to search for.

i'll bet if you called a toyota dealer parts dept they could look up the OE pad number and then you can cross that to get the year/make/model it fits and then order whatever you need.

possibly the 6th gen celica uses the rear calipers you're getting, i'm not sure. post up a picture of the calipers and i can take a stab at it.

did my dual piston calipers make it to you in fine shape? had i known you werent going to use the pads i'd have omitted them to save a few dollars on shipping.

The dual-piston ST165 (AllTrac) calipers arrived unscathed. I still need to rebuild the other caliper. I'm also waiting on some 16" wheels I ordered just to be on the safe side (and because Tire Rack is having a sale on winter tires).

The rear disc brake kit arrived just the other day. I'll try to take some pics tomorrow. Until then, here is a pic the seller (Robr20v) emailed to me:

Robr20v, per the offer in this thread. He said he imported several, so he should have another available for you to purchase.
