So I own a
2002 Toyota Corolla LE, and I wanted to buy a K&N replacement filter for it.
Went to my local auto parts store, and ordered part # 33-2252, as listed on the K&N website for the '02 model year. Upon replacing the filter, I found out that it didn't fit, and i was quite puzzled.

So after looking up the dimensions for the filter, turns out the dimensions of my current air filter matched that of the filter suggested by K&N for the
2001 model year Corolla.

So I'm assuming that when it came time to build my car, Toyota had a few '01 airboxes lying around, and threw one of those in there instead. So for all 2002 Corolla owners, check your airboxes before buying a filter!
