Catalytic Converter / 98 Corolla

Hey everyone! New here. Really like what I'm seeing!

I have some questions about
this this
catalytic converter.

1. Is it legal to take off a cat that doesn't need replacing?
2. Would something like
this this
work with it? And would it need welding?
3. Also, if anyone has had experience with parts from amazon and their quality feel free to chime in.

1. Yes, but it would not make much sense to do so since that link is for an OEM replacement cat and won't yield any performance gains whatsoever. The OEM cat is much higher in quality.

2. Yes, it would work, and yes, it would require welding on.

Thanks.

Random question. I read somewhere a while back that a v6 camry exhaust would fit on my 98 corolla. Is there any truth to this?

Never heard of anybody doing this before.... just get custom piping done to avoid any unnecessary hassle.
