RAV4 parts interchangeable with Corolla?

Toyota RAV4 (1996-2000):
Quote:
The RAV4 was originally based on the Corolla platform, and was offered in both two and four-door versions.
What parts are interchangeable between the RAV4 and the Corolla?

Specifically, how about the suspension (springs and struts)? I know most people want to lower their Corollas and to drive them like sports cars, but I'm more interested in not being rocked by all the potholes and speed bumps where I live. So I'm looking for "heavy duty" suspension rather than firm sport-driving suspension.

Any help or information towards this end would be appreciated.

Just looking at your goal ("not rocked by potholes"), KYB or Tokico struts with stock springs would serve you well.

You could go to toyodiy.com/parts and open two copies, one with Corolla and one with those RAV4, and see what parts they actually share. Note that matches found this way will be identical parts shared, no near matches like "this part from RAV4 is a bit different, but it bolts on to a Corolla".

I think this crowd would be more interested in things like "can the 3S engine mount from RAV4 be used to swap a 3S into a Corolla", eh?
