new (used)car, new problems
Few days ago we bought 2000 corolla with 105k. When we bought it we knew that it needed cat convertor, that was negotiated in the price of the car. We had cat replaced, that code p0420 is not coming back (for now anyway). We have another problem and we were wondering if it was related to the bad cat. Car runs fine once it's moving but when sitting in traffic (at the lights for example) it would sputter and sometimes die. There are no codes in my obd2. I was wondering could it be something that actually damaged cat convertor in the first place and could it occur again? Guy that replaced cat said that car needs tune-up, exhaust is full of something (cant remember exactly what he said) and it could damage this cat as well. What do you suggest, where do we start?
