98 LE Cruise Con issue

My cruise control stopped working the other day. When I click the on/off switch, I can hear a clicking sound from the brain box under the glove compartment, but the cruise light doesn't come on in the instrument panel any longer.

Any ideas on diagnosing this? Would it be a simple matter of replacing the brain box?

Thanks.

Check the GAUGE and ECU-IG fuse, both 10A behind the little drawer to the wheel's left. Speedo works? And the CRUISE bulb in the cluster?

Yes, the speedo and the bulb are fine, so it may be just the fuse. I will check it out and let you know.

I pulled both of the fuses you suggested. Both looked good but once I replaced them, the cruise started working again. Perhaps just vibrated loose after 173,000 miles.

Thanks for the help.
