im curious to know how everybody else's cars stack up against mine when it comes to this. i dont hypermile and i drive somewhat fast (5th gear 28-900rpms = about 70-75mph for a half hour -35 minutes to school and back 5days a week i get 300 miles on 3/4 tank of gas.
I average about 27mpg in mixed city/highway driving on my 7th gen 7A-FE. This includes driving in heavy traffic every day. My best tank ever was a little over 42mpg, 100% highway driving.

my average per tank with my car (equiped with the c60) is 380-400 miles per tank. works out to about 32-33mpg average if i remember correctly. best tank i ever got was 540miles. it was coming back from import alliance in 2008, i had filled up at nashville superspeedway on their 98 unleded
I kept a MPG spreadsheet for one full year from summer 08 through summer 09 and my overall average is 36.54mpg combined. I used to easily get 39-42 on the highway with my prizm.
Mine doesn't. What sort of weirdness is yours exhibiting?
i'll be waiting at the light to get on the highway. gas guage says half tank. as soon as i get on the highway at a steady speed (60mph) it drops to a quarter tank on a flat highway. it just makes me nervous.
mannnn I cant go past 27mpg... usually im aroung 23... 24... maybe because of the 3 speed on the VE? tht sucks.... Im bringing it in for a tune up today or tomorrow.. never had it done 120K miles... maybe tht will help a little...

There's no such thing as a "tune-up" for modern cars. That's just jargon that shady mechanics use to fool people into thinking that work has been done when it really hasn't. Refer to the proper terminology of what will be done.

I recently got it and imputed the engine and fuel tank size for my 98 corolla. However I feel that the mileage is severely off. I drive about 70% higway, and my scangauge has been giving me numbers in the high 30's to low 40's.
When I usually calculate manually, I get anywhere from 30-36mpg.
Is there any kind of calibration I need to do for it?
