Should I worry about steel brake line nylon coating being stripped

I recently replaced rear shock, which required disconnecting the brake hose from the metal brake line that goes to the drum.
While loosing the nut on the metal brake line, part of the nylon coating at the end of on the brake line got stripped off, about quarter inch.

I suppose they nylon coated it to protect from corrosion.

Should I worry about this? Do you recommend putting some kind of coating on it at the section where the nylon coating got stripped off?

don't really need to worry about it, and there should be about 1/4 inch exposed before the brake line fitting to allow it to move on the line to assemble and disassemble.

however if you're worried you could paint on some asphalt undercoating to the line.

I would worry about any kind of a defect on your brakes. The brakes are the most important park of your car. It doesn't matter how much "go" you have if you don't have a "whoa".

If I saw anything wrong with my brakes - service brakes or parking brake - I'd either fix it or get it fixed ASAP.
