Washer fluid and defroster indicators on cluster?

I was looking at the back of my cluster for a swap from green bulbs to white LEDs (WLED-xHP5), and in addition to noticing that there's also many (16 to be precise) 74 type bulbs for all of the status indicators (seat belt, empty gas, battery, turn signals, high beams, etc.) that there's two spaces that don't even have the plastic screw holster that the 74 type bulbs go into. Looking through the screen of the cluster, it appears that they're for low washer fluid and for the rear defroster.

Have I simply been driving my used 2002 Corolla LE without those indicators lo these many years? Or were they dropped from the final product and thus vestigial? If so, can they be reactivated?

Was the defroster indicator used in the 98-00 Corollas that had the defroster button opposite of the 4-way hazard flasher button? (rather than as part of the HVAC unit next to the air circulation toggle, as with the 01-02 Corollas.)

Also, FYI, all the 74 type bulbs seem to be white. (None of them have the gel coloring "condoms".) So I'm assuming the color of the indicators is embedded in the screen of the cluster.

Update:

Ah ha. Any advice on the feasibility of picking up a Canadian washer fluid reservoir with a float switch and wiring it into a USDM car?

Try these guys: www.standardautowreckers.com. They are based in Toronto, but have a NY branch.

In case you're interested, here are the part numbers:
85397-AA010 for the switch kit - should include gasket
85315-02040 for the reservoir.
If your car is Canada-built (2T1 VIN), it should be pre-wired. Check that area for a dangling plug. If not, we'll figure something out.

Are these T1.5 twist lock lamps?

(If so, presumably the 3 #194 bulbs used to illuminate the gauges in the cluster use the T10mm twist-lock sockets.)

I don't see a dangling plug near the washer reservoir, only the 2-wire connection to the pump motor, that connects with the wiring cluster and small fuse box for DRL, the heater, etc.

Buurin, can you take some photos of how the washer fluid reservoir wiring is hooked up in your Canadian car, as a point of reference?
