The airbox was sitting on it. What does it do?

I think it's either a motor or transaxel mount. I can't be sure though, I've never seen under my air box.

That's the driver side transaxle mount. Stock airbox also bolts to it.

been kicking around the idea of picking one up, but I don't know, I've had 2 e46 m3's and am just in love with the e46, my e90 is nice as I'm sure the e90 m3 is too, but I just don't like it enough to seriously consider buying one.

What's not to like about a car with a V8 that can rev over 8000rpm?

To me, the E90 M3 is more of a natural evolution of the old E39 M5.

I'd pick one up in a heartbeat if I had that kinda cash lying around.
