AE111 black headlight, fit gen8.0?

I found this trying to find out if AE111 ever made it to Hong Kong (so I can buy a proper rear disc brake set )

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...item3ca55395ae

Any chance this may fit a USDM gen8.0?

Doesn't really apply to myself as I have gone 8.5+bixenon already.

Fascinating. I hope someone here with a 98-00 pulls the trigger on that and documents it for us.

Why bi-xenon HID if you have the 8.5 (01-02) headlights?

(My solution is to get the black VOR headlights for $160 and use HIR bulbs ~$!00 in them.)

those are some good looking lights! if only i wasnt a poor college kid

by glance it looks like it should fit. though my question is how would the wiring for the bulbs work? (not electronically inclined)

wiring would be just like the wiring for the 8.5gen swap. so it shouldn't be too hard. but i would think that the bumper would be different. not to mention would look pretty good on an 8th gen as well. i have seen these for over a year on eBay in both silver and black housings. i have been tempted to buy them, but alas i have not because it seems like a pretty big gamble (330$) if they don't fit or require a lot of modification to work.

330 is so expensive especially in a time like this for most of us, and im planning on doing the 8.5 swap so this would be useless

I would say no. They are more angular and have sharper lines.

It looks like there would need to be be some hood, fender, and grille modifications needed to fit them.

I'm trying to see what I might have to modify since I maybe taking the plunge for these things. I didn't think it was too much to ask.

It would be hard to tell visually, the only way to tell for sure is to ask the seller to take physical measurements and compared them to the dimensions of the stock headlights.
