i got a CEL on the way home today. i borrowed my friend's scanner and got that code for the IAT circuit 1. what does this mean exactly? and is it going to be a costly repair?

it means you need to do some diagnosis and that throwing parts at it probably won't fix the problem. what have you done to the car recently?

Nothing. Haven't done mods to this thing in a while. Just usual 3k oil changes.

The code is for an open or short in the Intake air temperature sensor circuit. Normally that sensor is in the air intake tube. In your case it depends due to the aftermarket intake you have on there. The ECM is looking for a votage return signal from that sensor and its not seeing it.
