Japan G6 engine

Hi I drive a corolla 2001 G6 1.6 vvti 3zz engine, 6 gears 3 dor hb.
The Q is ca I swap the 1.6 engine for a 3SGE SS III from a celica 199x. and what parts I need to change or modify for a safe dryving?

Or is thera a bether choice, i ma bored with 110bhp and one mechanic is offering me a change...

Different family of engines - there would be significant amount of fabrication involved - lots of rewiring as well. Swaps can get pretty complicated - have you considered forced induction (supercharger, turbocharger)? There should be decent support for the 3ZZ engine overseas - I believe it was Blitz that made a bolt on supercharger for it for a Vitz hatchback.
