So my boss bough a 99 corolla and less than a month later the engine went in it.
So I offered to help with the swap, he bought the engine and transmission through a local parts store and we wait for shipping the engine came by itself instead of it being a whole unit like was stated

so we have to tear the old seized engine out and take the flex-plate and so we do and start the install most everything went smooth. We put fluids in and started it up runs fine but then we set neutral and try to back it out and it goes nowhere so we talk to the shop mechanic and he says it should just need 7 QT of fluid and the pump will pick it up and fill the T.C. so we do and we idle for 10-20 min shifting thru the gears and try to back it... NOTHING.
So the conundrum is Do we have to completely take the transmission out and swap for the old functional transmission or is there something that we can do that will get it out of the shop within the next 2 or 3 days that will work just as well?
