Has anyone ever tried the throttle body spacer tat is said to give u about 20 hp and 3-4 mpg? is it true or what? is there any for 01-02 corolla or is it only for the corolla s that has a 1zzfe engine.
Does all 01-02 have a 1zzfe engine? My mind is totally clueless now.

Sure. And while you are at it, get a Tornado for your intake, a performance chip module, a voltage stabilizer, and those ionizing magnets that go around your fuel line.
Everything is available on eBay. For about 200 bucks, your Corolla can really kick azz.
I don't see how increasing plenum volume can have that significant of an effect on an engine built for economy. It's minimal at best and even then results have to be confirmed with dyno runs before and after the install.

OP... they're messing with you... Plenum spacers only work on TBI or Carbureted cars. as the 1ZZ-FE is neither, don't waste your money.

Seriously. There are no cheap and easy blot-ons that are give you lots of power. If you really want to increase HP, you are going to have to make a significant investment like turbocharging which will set up back about $4000 give or take. The only thing that most bolt-ons increase is the money in the wallets of the people who sell them.
if you want a fun lil car to tool around in i'd recommend an piggyback EMU (like a Greddy EManage), stage 1 or 2 camshafts, an intake, and a full head-back exhaust (keep your cat or get a hi-flo but for heavan's sake don't delete it most states are contemplating bringing back emmisions screening). power wise you're prolly playing with 150HP give or take.
now 150 doesn't sound like much but if you install upgraded brake parts, rear discs, full adjustable coilovers (not sleeves), sway bars, and new chassis parts (tie rod ends, ball joints etc); you'll be sitting pretty with a car that may not be FAST but it will be quick and VERY manuverable and A LOT of fun to drive. And for the most part, be a contender at autocross meets (which the E110 excels at if done right)
now if you're looking for a straight line killer... you have the wrong car
hell you have the wrong DRIVETRAIN
YOU CAN'T HAVE A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE DRAG CAR! IT JUST DOESN'T WORK!
and yes, before i get flamed, i know SEVERAL aftermarket parts companies have made FWD drag cars, but lets face it RWD works SOOO much better.
thats my 2 cents
