Do you mean "performance spark plugs" or normal ngk iridiums?

You need spark plugs in general, and I stick with NGK iridiums.

I think a few people have said good things with denso.

I also would stick with iridium, since there is a decent part in the manual and a stick on the engine itself that says "iridium only"

Those pulsar plugs provide little to no extra power.

I myself use NGK iridiums, because thats what my mechanic suggested. I have no problems with them.

I havent used denso, So I cant provide any feedback on those.

Sparkplugs are NOT a performance part for the car. They will not generate any more power than another plug. Capacitive/air-gap plugs like Pulstar and similar have a neat gimmick - but dyno runs by various groups have show negligible gains.

Better to save your money and get either the OEM spec plugs (right fitment, long life) or aftermarket iridium plugs. Main advantages of fine wire iridium plugs are enhanced lifespan (up to 120K miles with OEM, 30K-60K with aftermarket), and easier to spark/exposed flame kernel. There is more to a plug than generating a hotter spark or being more "open" in design.

Back in the carburated days - these fancier plugs might have made a difference, if they didn't get fouled first. With modern fuel injection and tighter computer control - less of a difference performance-wise.

anyone ever tried the nology plug wires with the capacitor in them and there own ground cable? if so what did you think. they sound good in theory, but is it gonna give me .25 hp gain or somethin? .25 is nopt worth an extra 100 bucks.
They won't give you any power gains whatsoever considering that they're a basic maintenance item.

I would get NGK wires or OEM and call it a day.

Depends on what you plan on running. For a project car that has a tune in progress - I'd recommend copper plugs, as they'll be likely to get fouled or see some physical damage (detonation, contact with piston) during the course of tuning. Once you get the tune where you like it - then you can switch to a more expensive, longer life plug. Iridium plugs, you can get cooler or hotter, depending on your application. But since many have a very hard to adjust electrode (some are plated with platinum or have a platinum/iridium button) - might be harder to adjust the gap.

As for cooler or hotter plug, and plug gap for that matter - depends on the application. Boosted apps, generally respond better to a cooler plug and gap that is closed up slightly. But get too cold of a plug - and they'll foul easily. Too hot, you'll see plug blistering, shorten its lifespan. Gap - you'll have to play around with until you find the best gap for your app. Even with a MSD CD type of igniter - running a stock plug gap might be too much - spark could get blown out. Also, if you run too tight of a gap, you could choke down the flame kernel and get a poor ignition.
