98 Corolla: Brake system

I am unclear about the braking system on both front and rear wheels.

Front: Brake Pads x4 + Rotors X2
NOTE: Front does not have brake shoes or drums like the rear does, correct?

Rear: Drum X2 + Brake shoes X4
NOTE: Rear does not have brake pads like the front, correct?

Am I missing anything else? Thanks.

Not sure exactly what you are getting at. Braking system on the cars can get pretty complex, if you look far enough into them.

If you are looking for a "piece or part" count, then you are correct. Typical 8th gen Corollas (1998-2002) in the North American market are a DISC/DRUM brake setup.

The "wear" items on the front DISC brakes are two rotor (one each side) and a set of pads for each rotor (inner and outer pad for each rotor) - total of 4 pads, 2 rotors.

The "wear" items on the rear DRUM brakes are two drums (one each side) and a set of shoes for each drum (leading and trailing shoe for each drum) - total of 4 shoes, and 2 drums.
