EGR Valve location

I went outside the other day and looked for my EGR valve on my 99 chevy prism and could not find it. Could somebody please tell me where its located? Also is it possible to clean it out? My check engine light is on and when i cruise on the highway with the window down or accelerate hard i can smell raw fuel. I was also thinking the o2 sensor could be bad but i need to get the codes checked. Any help would be appreciated.

The 8th gen Corolla/Prism (1ZZ-FE engine) do not have EGR. Raw fuel smell could be coming from a number of places. First get the CEL code pulled, so that you have some place to start looking.

p0446

The code my car is making is p0446, something to do with the evap system. I went to discount and a guy told me that it was probably a bad solenoid or evap canister?

ALLDATA PRO TECH BULLITEN FOR 99 TOYOTA COROLLA/PRIZM!
toyota put out a TSB stating that some 1999 corolla/prizms may have a defect in the ECU that throws a P0446 code when in fact there is no problem. go to the dealership and ask about that TSB. i think it only affects ECUs with serials starting or ending in the number '0'
