thoughts of wheel

would a silver car with these wheels be too much? or would it be better to get something in bronze or flat black?

Neither.

On a silver car, I would go with a dark gunmetal color.

hmm .. not many wheels in Gunmetal. Only reason why i'm considering wheels is the suspension. since its going to have a 1.3 drop why not make it look better with rims.

In that case I would go with black then.

That style of wheel that you posted is played out and tacky IMO. I would look for something better.

Enkei RPF1's would look good.

A wheel like that would look good in a 17 or 18" with a nice drop. While it might be "played" out, it's also a classic style that will never look bad if executed correctly. Besides, it gets old looking at crappy little low budget 14's and 15's all the time. Nothing looks better than a little car dumped on big wheels.

You will hate anything bigger than 16" for a car daily driven in any north east city.

not bad, but i cant justify the 4.8lbs heavier the 16s are, or the worse ride i would have with them. the roads around here are not the greatest. hence why i am sticking with the 15's. more sidewill will give better protection of the rim from potholes/bump/etc and a smoother ride than a lower profile 16 will.

as for rim choice, you cant beat the rpf1. 199 each (15s) and there DAMN good wheels. not some cheap knock offs or anything. real high quality units.

Well regardless, If my car can pass inspection ... then I will continue building my corolla if I haven't changed over to a new vehicle.

eh, to each his own. i do like the look of 16 on our body style corolla, but i also like 15s. the meatier sidewall looks good to me. if i was building a car for show, then yes i would go with a larger wheel, but since this is a toy and will be driven, alot. i will go for 15s.
