Toyota newbie
Hey guys. New to Toyotas. Bought my first one (98 CE) about a month ago after driving older Saturns for several years. Bought my 2nd (00 Silver LE) few days ago in another state, and will be traveling over there to pick it up and drive it back. Then the CE will be sold (not too fond of the color and the lack of options). Also seems to have some minor problems. Idles a little high (guessing the IAC valve is bad?), power door locks dont work (I was told could be power door lock relay/module), and the VSS is throwing an intermittent check engine light. Also the blower fan was making a growling noise so I replaced that with a cheap used unit from the bone yard. I may also have an A/C leak. Compressor was switching on and off when I bought it, regcharged it, stayed on all the time, and now its back to on/off. Any of these things common? Anyway despite all that I'm very happy with how it feels and drives, love the firm shifts (automatic) and the decent acceleration. Its definitely a pleasure to drive and the difference in quality can be felt. So are there any other known issues or problems with these cars I should know about? Thanks
