i did some drag racing (mods would approve)

I went to Maple grove today cuz my school was sponsoring the track day. i figured i'd give it a shot seeing as how i'd never been down the 1320.

i raced first against a powerstroke f-350 then a against a SR20det 240sx so i was fated to lose. but i ran consistent.

far from a auto. 5speed for the win. First time to the track. Didn't launch the car. I'll post the video later. @crowbar911 maple grove is out by reading/Morgantown. Drove a hour to get there from Philly.

not bad. i wish i had a local 1/4. all we have around here are 1/8th. the closest 1/4 tracks that actually hook are edgewater which is 2 hrs away. and beachbend in bowling green. again about 2hrs away.

my personal best for 1/8 was 10.4 at 68 i think. ill have to go dig up the slips.

next time, launch it about 3000. just peddle it if it trys to spin. i know mine does bad. also what rpm were you shifting at? it looked like it was 5600-5900? but couldnt tell really.

hmm. thats weird. what all is done to your car? i wonder if mine is still pulling because of one of my mods. it very well could be if yours is close to stock. but i though an 8th gen would run quicker than that in the 1/4. maybe i was wrong?

eh. honestly, i did the ported header. didnt make a big difference. then i bought a header. one of the long tube 4-1's. made a big difference in power. there are tons of things you can do to your car for cheap.

i hear ya on not having time. i work 40+ hours a week. on the weekends, i barely want to do anything but lounge around. much less work on my car, but i do, because it must get done.
