Will a Celica 1zzfe Manual Transaxel fit?

I might get a a good deal for a 5 speed transaxel from a Celica GT 1zzfe.

So will it fit a 2000 Corolla for an AT/MT conversion?
I couldn't find info on the forum about this.

I'm not really looking to do a conversion but my friends were telling me to find out, so it's something I might be looking at. Thanks.

yes it will mount. i think the mounts are the same too. might want to check. toyota decided to be lazy/cheap and make the 5 speed for the A series, the S series, and the ZZ series the same. that means it fits in a corolla (6th-9th gen), celica (5-7th gen), camry, and i'm pretty sure MR2. not so sure about that one tho.

So what you think? Green light or I may run into some problems? Because I still need to get a clutch resevior and stuff. How about the shifter linkages, will they fit?

its about the same as the 6 speed swap. the major differences being its a front mounted shifter on the trans. so you need to use the celica cables and shifter assembly. also the axles are different inner spline and have an intermediate shaft. so you use celica axles too. other than that its the same trans internally as our 5 speeds, but with a 4.3 final instead of the corollas 3.7 or 3.9, which ever one it is.
