Help: Name of this tube?

I need help to find the name of this tube:

Engine – PCV valve grommet – PCV valve – 10mm rubber pipe (Name???) – tightened by a round metal clip – goes down to ???.

What is the name of this rubber tube or hose that connects ??? with the PCV valve? Where could I get it?

During replacement of PCV valve, I found this tube's inner wall cracking and ready to split soon. The diameter looks too thin, about 10mm, to be called a hose.

Thanks for your help.

PCV hose, vents crankcase fumes (oil, fuel) to combustion chamber via intake tube/pipe nipple for additional burning.

Which hose to order?

So which hose do I order?

1) Air intake hose,

or

2) PCV hose

or

3) some other official, cataloged name?

The air intake hose looks thick and does not seem to connect to that tiny PCV tube.

The only similar item I found was this:

http://www.partsgeek.com/catalog/199...take_hose.html

Otherwise, there are so many tubes so much bigger and wider than my stock, thin tube. Could I get this tube from Pepboys or NAPA or Walmart?

Thanks.

An alternative to PCV hose?

!-- @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } --> An Alternative to PCV hose?

Can I just buy the following items from Home Depot or Sears or Walmart to replace the PCV hose?

  1. A hose insulator tube for 10 mm hose
  2. A heavy duty 10 mm rubber hose
  3. Belt-shaped hose tighteners with flat-head screws – I call them the silver belts.

Could the Home Depot's heavy duty rubber hose withstand and deliver the heat from the engine into the intake manifold? Or do I have no choice and have to go to an auto-part store for the specific PCV hose?

I just want my car to run, but do not want to ruin my only Rolla-baby to throw tantrum due to bad gas - I mean a bad tube.

Thx.

Normal routing, if it is the PCV hose, one end attches to the PCV valve. The opposite end attaches to nipple found on the AIR INTAKE HOSE. The AIR INTAKE HOSE connects the air filter housing to the carburetor or throttle body. That tubing/hose being approx 10mm may be one of numerous vacuum hoses. It could be off a nipple on the air intake hose itself or from some other component. There should be a schematic/diagram showing the various vacuum hose routings attached to the underside of the hood.
