Yeah, plastic lenses, you'll break them before you'll open them.

Bake them in the oven to loosen up the adhesive.

You can find detailed step by step instructions on google.

Plastic lenses dont like being baked, works for the front lights, because the lens is glass.

uuh.. the head light lenses are plastic. it will work. just dont keep them in there for long. did it to a buddys altima (plastic lenses) a long time ago. i have used a heat gun too. on the low setting and just work your way around the lens, and be gentle.

that is not correct

the adhesive used in sealing the lenses to the housing on the corners is different from the one used in the headlights. Heating up the corners in the oven will melt/damage the mounts before it melts the adhesive.

OP: AFAIK, your options are to:
-buy the full set with headlights on ebay ($135)
-put some overlays (black stickers) on your current corners
-find a way to carefully cut open the current corners (not with heat) to paint it

I know how you feel though...I also have a black car, and am considering the stock headlights becuase the corner markers stick out so much now

I hit a trash can the other day and it popped right off, clean! Too bad i didn't notice it at the time to stop and pick it up.
Does anyone know where I can buy just the plastic cover or do i need to replace the whole corner assembly?

Just buy a whole new corner only like 25 bucks on ebay if that, unless you want to try to reglue it i dont even know if thats possible lol or you can use clear packaging tape thats what i did lol doesnt look bad if you can get the tape to lay flat. I'm waiting for a pair of clear corners to come in so tape works for me.

stock corners or aftermarket?

maybe some slight heating, twisting, and gentle raps with a rubber mallet might be the way to take it off...

I don't see any glue residue around it, it probably came off on fallen piece that has never been seen again. You can cut anything with a dremel tool, as long as you take the corner out and be careful with it. You can always remove the corner and look at it to match things up. Measure twice and cut once. If it doesn't look like you can get away with cutting it then don't. Not much more I can tell you, I just hit the trash can and got lucky.
