Gauge Pods for a 98

Hey guys,
new to this fourm. Just sold my 95 f-150 and bought my corolla. Its completely stock, auto tranny, nothing special. I want to do some minor stuff to it. I can't find any gauge pillars for this generation. I just want one gauge, a PLX obd 2 multi gauge. Anyone know any pillars that would fit? like does a pillar for a ford focus fit this car or something strange like that? Any tips would be much appreciated. I don't want to put this gauge on the dash, i'm pretty set on mounting it on a pillar.
much thanks

Probably have go Ebay for something like that. They do have universal pillar pods for 1,2, or 3 gauges. But depending on how you want it to look, might take some fabrication to blend that in. There are also numerous universal on dash pods, from tubular pods to dash "warts".

Probably could take the Focus one and modify it to fit the Corolla - as that is what most tend to do anyway - take one from a known make and re-purpose it for the Corolla.

If you feel adventurous, you could build up your own - lots of DIY articles to make your own pillar gauge pods.

thanks man, I've never heard of "warts" but i'll look into it. The more I research the more I think I might just put it in the single DIN space in my middle console and put a screen in the bottom. I dont know. I'm still technially waiting to get the car. So I will know more when I get to sit in it. All I have to go by now are the pictures that people post. The less fab work I have to do the better.

Yeah, those "warts" are the gauge pods that basically get glued to the top of the dash - popping up from an otherwise flat surface, hence the term warts.

Prices for them vary considerably - some go for less than $10, some go for $70+.

A DIN installation would look considerably cleaner, IMO, for gauge placement. Of course that will be out of line of sight, but overall will look more like an OEM install.

yeah, thanks for the tip dude. I'll just have to play around with different set ups. line of sight isn't really important for me with this gauge, so i'm thinking the DIN install is what I will go with. I've also got plans for a CB/PA (it was in my old truck, so why not? lol) so that might go in the double din below along with the gauge. idk, i'm just pumped to get the car, the gas mileage, and the reliability.
thanks again
