Corolla tire size

Probably a stupid question but I am just getting started in trying to maintain my own car, so I appologize in advance for all the stupid questions I'm going to ask in upcoming months....

I want to buy some spare rims for some winter tires. I found a set of rims from a civic that are 4-bolt, 114.3 mm.

Will those rims fit my 2000 Corolla?

Assuming that the Corollas in your market are similar to the ones in the North American market - that would be no. The corollas are a 4x100mm bolt pattern. You can verify this through the user's manual and possibly by the door placard. If anything else, you can measure directly from your wheel. Measurement is taken through the centerline of two opposite lugs, from the center of each lug.

Ok thanks. I'm glad I checked.....

I saw the following eBay listing for Corolla rims that measure 4.5 inches (114.3 mm) so I thought I was on the right track. (eBay item number 110003275169 in case the link doesn't work)

Maybe back in 1985 they were 114.3 mm...

Older Corollas had a different bolt pattern.

Your car uses 4x100.

Too bad we don't live closer together. I have a mounted set of wheels and tires I'd sell you.

to be correct, the ae86 corolla was the last of the corollas to use the 4x114 bolt patter, while its fwd counterparts the ae80/82 chassis corollas used 4x100. all corollas from then untill 2003 used this pattern. in 03 they went to 5x110.

Correct.

Except the last part, the 9th gen onwards (2003+) uses a 5x100 bolt pattern.

You guys know a lot about toyotas.

I found a set of 97 Camry rims for $40. Do you guys know if they are 4x100? The seller doesn't know.

Camry is a five lug, will not fit. Honda , Mitisubshi nor Nissan will not fit either. I'm not too sure about a Ford Escort wheel. I got my wheels from a Paseo but I think any corolla from 1989 to 2002 will fit your corolla.

Those won't fit because the Camry uses a 5x114.3 bolt pattern.

Have you tried your local Craigslist? I've been able to find steel wheels with snow tires for under $200 for the last few years.

Well, I'm two traffic lights off Interstate 95 if you change your mind.
