Transmission Question

2002 Corollla S. Printed on the sticker in the driver's side door jamb is the following:

A/TM: - 01A/A245E

If my understanding is correct, the "A245E" indicates this car has the 4 speed automatic transmission. Is that correct?

I'm planning to change the transmission fluid and filter on the car this weekend.

One more question, with the 4 speed automatic, the differential fluid is not separate from the transmission fluid. In other words, when I change the transmission fluid, I will also be changing the differential fluid (supposing this car does indeed have the 4 speed automatic). Is that correct?

Thanks in advance.

Brad

Yes Diff. fluid and ATF are same. I believe the gen you have did not come in a 3 Speed.

if your car has the overdrive button on the side of the shifter, then you have a 4 speed. simple as that.
