Is it possible to go to like an auto shop and have they install it for you right? I mean my car 01 corolla le doesn't have one and so i wanted to have one so bad. Probably get it off of ebay i guess?

8you probably could go to a shop that can custom make you one.

But I can see the costs far outweighing the positives of the sun/moon roof.

So say you got one from like a honda si and you can bring it to the factory for installment.

And they will try to custom fit it in right?

I absolutely LOVE my sunroof

But if my car didnt have one, I'd live with it. Or would find one with a sunroof from the factory. I would not go aftermarket.

+1. Generally the cost of getting a sunroof installed on a car that didn't come with one from factory is extremely high. My brother got quoted $3500 (NZD) to get one installed on his 1998 Toyota Caldina GT-T. The lowest quote he got was $3100. Needless to say, he didn't go ahead with it. Plus, if the person installing it doesn't do the job right then it will leak and cause problems. Not really worth it in my opinion, but if you've got the cash and go to someone who will do the job properly then go for gold .
