head gasket

It seems that there are 2 gaskets there, correct?
How do you know when to change your gaskets?

Besides i can see lights coming in between those 2 gaskets and the headers too and yes i have tighten those bolts...i mean seeing the lights coming through would mean that air would leak through there from the engine and not fully airflow into the header pipe.

Sorry if i don't seem talk any sense but that's the best i can describe.

you have 1 head gasket. 1 intake manifold gasket. and one exhaust manifold gasket.
if you plan on replacing the head gasket then get those, a valve cover gasket, fuel injector O-Rings, and head bolts. a compression test and a cylinder leak down test will tell you for sure if you need a head gasket. unless you have a leak down tester and 100 psi or more of shop air only a certified technician can do this.
please do yourself and everyone else a favor and get a Haynes manual. that will explain how to do most basic mainainance and everything including tearing the car down to the frame (if you really wanted to)
