hvac light replacement on a 2000 corolla

i got a 2000 corolla and just change my instrument cluster light from the step by step instruction on this forum. I was wondering if anybody has a step by step process on how to change the lights on the hvac unit? I pulled out the ash tray cluster and the screws on the hvac unit, but no luck in locating where the lights are at?(and the hvac unit didn't pull out all the way) i search all over this forum to see if anybody posted how to change the lights.. please help..

i think i may have mentioned something a little somewhere around here about it, but when you take out those two screws on the side of the hvac (and probably lose them in the process like i did...they just automatically fall down into the abyss), youll take out the actual hvac boxy panel thing, with wires that limit how far you can take it out.

next, pull off the three ac nobs, and then really all you need to do is get a flat screwdriver, and pry the four little wedge things..two on top, two on bottom, which hold the hvac box together. i know it sounds weird but just look at it for a little bit and youll figure it out. the front colored grey or tan plastic panel will then be unclipped from the off-white housing, and youll just pull them apart.

the two LEDs will be right there in the corners, connected to the off-white housing. i had a little trouble putting in one of my blue hp74's but itll eventually just jiggle on into the bulb mount.

hope that helps!

You can just twist out the two light bulb holder things look in the back of the HVAC and youll see two twist lock light holder things(can't think of the name now) turn like a half turn either way it budges and pull out then you can easily replace the bulbs
