my car got wrecked

my car got wrecked wednesday (9th of december) while driving along a back country road. nobody was injured but my car is pretty busted up.

i was going up a back road that i drive OFTEN (its the fun way to work) and was going around a 90 degree right. as i got about halfway through the corner i saw a dump truck in my lane. i slammed on the brakes and turned it to the inside. didn't really help. i still got sideswiped by his back tires.

Damage:
needs a new fender and bumper and supports
new hubcap. it didnt just knock the hubcap off, it destroyed it.
and i need an alignment.

guy paid completely out of pocket. its at the body shop now.
will post after pics

Ouch man, thats rough.

Doesnt look too bad though. Toyota or Toyota like hubcaps are expensive. If he's paying for them, go to walmart and get some 15 buck hubcaps.

Since your getting a new bumper, have you thought about upgrading to the 8.5 gen look?

the place i took it to is getting me all new Genuine Toyota body replacement parts. including hubcap.
and when i showed him the estimate he wrote me out a check for the amount (which cleared) then and there like 'that was stupid of me. wonder what's for lunch?'
guy has some money. he owns a welding shop near where i live.

Bro, it could have been worse. Drop by the guy's shop, never know when you need some welding done, might not even hhave to pay for it.

it was drivable after the wreck. but the steering wheel center-line faced 2 o'clock going straight. and the steering was a might twitchy.

i know that feeling oh so well. i did my alignment a little over a month a go and my LF wheel was out by almost a full degree and my wheel was in the same position as yours and pulled to the right. it looked like somebody replaced the tie-rod end and left the locknut a little loose (before i got the car) and its been slowly backing out since. but enough about me good to see your back up and running!

Did the sidewall of the truck get damaged at all or did it just bite Corolla?

i didnt hit any part of the sidewall of the truck.
i hit the two back tires. my car would have been totaled if i hit any thing else. as i would have been crushed
