Power steering pump

Need to buy a PS pump. What other years will work on a 2000 Corolla? Is the part different after 1/00? (mine is before that).

So from doing some reading, it looks like I need the first version of the pump (before 1/00). But also while I was reading thru different threads, I came across a post from someone that had the second version of the pump in a 99.

I think the post-01/00 part simply replaced the older one. The parts guys call this superseding. Could be wrong, though. I would just call a dealership with a nice parts website.

Research the Toyota parts sites for the different years and compare the part or item numbers given to get a general idea.

Any chance there is an oem part # on the pump somewhere ??

Bought a pump for a 99 Corolla from the junkyard. After removing the old one, I compared the two and there were some differences, which made me think the new pump was not going to work. But the mounting holes and pulley matched up with the old one. Installed it and it works fine. Overall not a very difficult job. Glad to have power steering again.

Do they sell the gasket that goes between the two halves of the pump? There is a chance mine is leaking.
