Thumbs up Fender Braces!

Finally got my fender braces installed.

I Tried to do it myself, but ended up braking a bumper support bracket bolt, said "screw this" and took it to a shop.

Shop was great. i went in asking about a appointment, they took me right away, drove me to work, emailed me pics, and filled my gas tank up all at no charge.

From the pics, they had to take off the bumper and both fenders.

It ended up costing 350 for install, due to 4 hours of work, which I think is way more money then I wanted to spend.

I can feel the braces. Not as big of an upgrade as the sway bars, but there is a good feeling. They stiffen the steering wheel, there is little no no nose dive under light braking, and not much under heavy. The front suspension doesnt "crash" with them, and I still feel bumps, but they are not as jarring.

The turning of the car is more precise, and the sidewall of my tires are not collapsing.

Mike Barton at Ultra Racing is a great guy to work with, and was able to answer all of my questions in a very timely fashion.

Congrats on getting the braces.

That mechanic is stupid though for letting your corner lights hang by the wiring!

i think alot of what you feel may be your imagination. that brace would do nothing to your tires or braking drive.

I may have miss worded myself bitter (in my excitement)

The tires themselves are still acting the same, but the car takes a little more push to roll onto the sidewall. Its not a HUGE difference, but there is more resistance to do so.

And there is good change in braking. The car doesnt nose dive as much. and stays more level during braking.
