Slammed brakes-Front end vibration now?

I had to slam my brakes on to avoid an accident where the car kind of drifted to the side in while in a skid to avoid hitting the truck. I have a slight vibration in the front end at low speeds but when I get up to about 70mph I feel it like airplane turbulence. I tried an alignment and it got better, but now a few weeks later it is back more.

So I am guessing I bent a tie rod or something else in the front end. It shakes on my steeing wheel too. This is why I thought I just totally knocked my alignment off. If I look at my tire wear it seems like my front right is worn down more than the left.

Do you have some ideas before I take it in? Also any idea how much this might cost me? Is it most likely something cheap to fix or are we talking something major $$. Thanks

did you actually hit something?

Did you lock your brakes us?

is the vibration only when you brake? If yes, you might have warped rotors.

I would say warped rotors too, i wouldnt think one slam on the brakes is enough to really do damage unless u hit a pothole sidways or something.

Depends on the situation. If we was on the Turnpike and had to come from 80 to 0 in an instant, thenits quite possible. We dont have enough informaion on the missed accident.

Corollaczy - Im getting your pictures now.

pitbull - Glad you are safe btw.

I was going about 35-50 not on a freeway. Slammed the brakes when a 4x4 cut me off. The only way to go was into a construction zone thats why I slammed them. Did not hit anything, but after I drove away I felt like something was warped.

Yes I locked up the brakes and it went into a slight sideways skid similar to corollaczy's picture above.

The vibe is when driving. Its not really noticeable until you hit the upper MPH like mainly in the 55-75 range. Strange but if you go 80 or a little above it starts to smooth out. Of course I dont think thats a good idea though..
