Cabin fusebox/dash removal

So I need to replace my Integration relay in my corolla. How hard is this going to be? Do I need to remove the lower part of my dash (driver's side near my knees?) Or could I just reach up inside and pull it out? Will I need to remove my fusebox? It's my understand that the relay integration is behind the fusebox. Anyone have any pictures of this area of the car torn down?

Just a lot of stuff needs to come out, but not hard at all.

You need to pry up the scuff plate to free the kick panel (all driver side), 2 bolts to remove lower trim panel - one is obscured by the kick panel so you need it off - and free the hood release cable, another 2 bolts for the metal plate. When you are halfway through you'll see this:

(you don't need to remove the steering column cover like shown here)

You want the beige fuse box. Integration relay is clipped to its back. It's secured by one screw to the back. Unplug everything that gets in the way, undo the screw and free it.

Once you get to the integration relay, carefully pry off the clip and the relay from the fuse block. Plug everything back together and test the relay first. Once it's good put everything back together.

Good luck.

Thanks, I tore it down yesterday to see how hard it would be, BEFORE ordering the part. (How smart!) Getting the fuse box itself out is a HUGE pain. There's one screw that is only accessible from BEHIND the fusebox. That took me longer than the tear down. No way am I going to get that screw back in. Thank God it's a tight fit or the box would just be bouncing around. Now I need to make sure I order the correct part. I heard they make 2 relay integrations: power windows version and no power windows. Anyone heard of this?

A magnetic Philips #2 screwdriver helps a lot here.

Yes there are two versions. Blue is without power windows (I have one for sale! ), brown is with. Part number is right on there.

Thanks a ton, you're always very helpful. Now I am trying to decide if it's worth the time/effort to replace. I found the part for super cheap. When I was changing my ignition light, something went screwy and now it won't turn off. I'm 99% sure it's my Relay Integration. I'd be totally bummed if I spent a couple hours replacing it. Only to find out, it wasn't that part. Or the replacement part is damaged (since it's from a wrecking yard.) Then, I'll probably blow it again, trying to change the bulb again. What do you all think, worth the effort to try to fix one bulb?
