HELP! With my 98'!

Hey guys,
I'm a little new to the forums. I have a Toyota Corolla 1998 with about 198k Miles on it. Recently I was thinking about putting money into changing things in the car like exhaust, intake, body kit, and etc on. I was just getting peoples opinions of should I go about wasting money on it? Is the mileage to high? Is it to old? Please guys I need opinions! I don't want to waste money on it to have it break down in like 1 month. If you think I should put money into it, then could you give me a site to get some cheap yet good parts?
Thanks,
Edwin

If it ain't broke, don't fix it..... that would be wasting money?? I spend money on my car to have fun and learn new things..... but it was all a "waste" from a certain point of view..... obviously if you read around here, you will see that we all do things to our cars.

It is up to you .

My 98 has almost 300,000 miles on the motor and I havea body kit , music and I still invest in it and even if the motor blew out I would buy another one and drop it in .

Troiioii, i am actually in the same boat as you. I also just recently bought a 98 corolla VE with 197k miles on it. So far i've only purchased new rims and I'm planning to get a lip kit.
How funny you are from the boston area, because i don't live too far.
See your car around!

You sound like a 16 year old kid. Yes its a total waste of money. This car is a commuter, not a race car. Save your money when your really gonna need it, if anything ever brakes your gonna wish you dint spend it on a body kit. Seriously dude I was in the same situation with my previous cars, I bought shit for them, fixed them up, now I wish I had that money.
You know when you get to do this? When you get old and your retired and have nothing else to do, so then you buy sick cars and race other old dudes in lambos.
