use ohms law to figure out how many you can run off the circuit based on the size of the fuse and the draw of the LED's

just google up 'ohms law calculator' and you should get what you need. you may need to hook a meter in series with the led's to get the amps draw to plug into the equation.

yeah i figured it out i dont have the leds yet its saying 60 leds draw 290 mA so i think that is .0029 A calculated that it should draw .0348 W of power

so my next question how many W does a reg incandesant bulb draw lol

I'm trying to hook these up so that they will turn on with the headlights so they only light up when it's dark out, which is why i'm not just using the 12v power source near the E-brake. Of course if i can seriously jack my car up i will just use the 12V with a rocker panel switch

If they are too much power for the circuit to hold will i just blow the fuse or can i seriously f**k the wiring up?

How far away is the relay for the headlights would i have to run a wire through the fire wall?

ummm... well unless you are trying to be seen from SPACE... you will never overload the cig lighter with LEDs. Ever. lol

Even if you do, the fuse will blow and your wires will be fine.

290 mA is 0.290 A.

P = E * I
P = (12V) * (0.29A)
P = 3.48W

So it's 3.48W. At least my math homework is done now. Lol.
