Angry Wheel not fitting!

I just did a test fit of a set of wheels I picked off of craiglist.

The lug nuts fit fine, But the hub on my car seems like its a MM to big. Im not sure what to do! Is there a cheap way to fix this, or should I just resell them and find something that fits?

The wheels are actually oem Mazda wheels. They came off a 2004 SE MAZDASPEED mx-5 miata. I asked on a Mazda forum, and one of the members said "hub diameter on Miata's is 54.1, Toyota is probably larger"

The tires are 205/40-17. They are the same exact height as stock. They are also only 17lbs each.

Any ideas?

hub diameter for the corolla is 54.06mm which is bigger than a miata.

adopter can only be used if the hub on the rim is bigger than the car (hub centric rings) call this place Al's in mineola NY he knows everything 516-742-6823, if it can be done he can do it.

You could get a spacer to push those wheels far enough way where they don't hit the raised lip of the center bore of the wheel hub. Or you could get those wheels machined out to match the hub diameter. Or Sell them out right.

Personally, they look like they are in great shape, but might be tough to resell them - unless you lucked out and found someone that needed them badly.

I'm assuming you looked on the back of the wheels to see if there is a hubcentric ring that is closing up the center-bore. You could get creative and try to shave that centerbore out yourself, but I'd ping on a machine shop first. Might be able to get that done pretty cheaply.

Also @ brooklyn99corolla - did you mean 56.04mm centerbore or did you mean 54.06mm centerbore? Because 54.06mm "is" less than 54.1 mm. I remember seeing 54.1mm as the centerbore for Corollas, but I can't find that information anymore. I'll double check when I get a chance.

i'm not sure Fish but i did another quick google search and got 54.1, and crowbar you should check if the hub rings are on the rims like Fish said sometimes they even look like there part of the rim.

ill go look at the ring now.

Would taking it to a machine shop even be worth it? I got the set for 260. I came with toyo proxes zr tires.

The pic is just a random internet pic of them, not what I actually have.

Im going to go look for the ring now. Hopefully there is one.

Would they put rings in a OEM mazda wheel?

I just did a quick search and the corolla and miata should have the same center bore of 54.1, if they came off a miata they should fit. Do you have rust or any build up on the corolla's side? use a metal wire brush around the lip (not the rim) to clean it up, i had that problem on my lexus and it worked.

ok. I cleaned a hub, and those wheels are not fitting.

Im going to post them on craiglist and then on TN (cheaper price) and see if I can sell em and make a small profit.
