Drivers Seat

Hey all, first Post.

I have a 2001 S with around 155k. Mechanically the car runs great, but the interior is falling apart. The Drivers seat broke yesterday and will just lay all the way back, I have it propped up with an ice scraper at the moment.

I just hung up from the dealer after finding out it will cost nearly $1800 for a new drivers seat. Well there is no way I am going to pay that much to replace the seat. I have checked local Junk Yards and the only 2001 seat I can find is light gray and not the dark gray/black that I have. I suppose I could get a seat cover but one yard does have a pair of 04 seats in the color I have for $100 for both.

My question is does anyone know if the 04 seats will fit in my 01 without having to do any heavy duty modding?

Thanks in advance for any help.

i had the same problem with the chrysler products i had. Just go buy the odd color seat and you should be able to slip off the cover easy enough and you can either change your cover onto it OR the hinge lock part should bolt on and off and swap em onto your seat.

I'd suggest just swapping the driver and passenger seats temporarily (I'm assuming that they have the same bolt pattern and whatnot).
