Summer tires worth it?

Is it worth it to buy summer tires for these cars? Or should i just drive my winters all seasons? Do you get a mpg gain and a noticable gain in traction or grab on the road? Im new to these cars, drove a tahoe before.

Also, Im looking to get a nicer set of hubcaps for the summer. Anyone see any sets around that actually look decent? Not Ricey please. Just decent. Any ideas? Maybe black out the hubcaps ?

Yes, summer tires are worth the cash. Your warm weather traction and wet traction will be durastically improved.

No, it's not a good idea to run winter tires year around as they will wear away faster and your gas mileage will be horrible.

I would skip the hubcaps altogether and purchase a nice set of wheels to pair the summer tires with.

Do some research on the tire rack.

Alrighty thank you, I wish i could find a decent set of wheels for cheap. I just cant see myself spending $400+ on my $500 prizm for wheels. I can only do a 4 lug correct?

What do you guys think of these?

They will fit correct?

Don't know about prizms, but you'll need to roll the fenders for those 17's. I don't see the offset listed so can't say if it'll fit or not.
