bass issue

in the past 4 years i have owned a 98 le and now i have an 02 s, and im assuming anyone else that has installed a system with anything over 400 watts knows the trunk rattles like there is no tmrw. the sport isnt as bad with the stock spoiler on it but it seems that the trunk latch itself is the cause of the vibrating. if you slightly push down on the trunk it stops. anyone found a fix for this??

ps- sorry mods if this is considered slightly off topic

its not the latch, its the sheet metal of the trunk vibrating. the fix is called dynamat.

+1. Dynamat works wonders. It's fairly expensive but gets the job done. I actually saw some on a Toyota at a wreckers the other day, might go back and get it, considering they only charge about $3 for it on their price list (gets classed as trunk lining).

I used something called R-blox. It's a generic dynamat. Made noticeable difference. I think it was about $50 for 50 ft²
