Well, I've got a problem with my rear driver side tire wearing in a weird way that would indicate a shock/strut is going out. The ride doesn't feel different in any way as far as bottoming out is concerned but I notice a constant "drumming" or "humming" sound coming from the rear driver side when driving at speeds at and above 45. So, I have a couple of questions and would appreciate any help you can give me.
1. Is this the normal angle for the struts? Pointing toward the front of the car.
2. This is the pic of the rear driver side tire's wear pattern. It is the only tire that looks this way. It looks really good in certain spots and in others it is wearing very funny. Would this indicate a shock/strut problem?
3. If it is a shock/strut that needs to be replaced do they usually get replaced in pairs (driver side and passenger side) or just one at a time as they go out?
Thank You,
Steve
