Okay so I've read somewhere that you can fit a 2000 Celica intake manifold into the 2000 toyota corolla and you can then use the throttle body from the 2000 Celica. If i want to do this how much power gains would I expect? and will it be straight bolt on or would I have to do some modifications? What parts are exactly needed for this swap? When purchasing a SRI or a CAI will I have to purchase one for a 2000 Celica?
i did this swap, but i dont know if it will work without relocating the battery to the trunk, since i had allready relocated mine. it looks like it will, but i didnt have a chance to try. i also built my own intake. its 3in aluminum that i had laying around. the gains were very noticable from 3500 and up. it feels much stronger on the top end. it feels like it does not want to stop pulling! here are some pics of my engine bay, please excuse the dirt its not a show car, its a dirty daily.
Im about to pull one from my sisters wrecked '00 celica gt and try to fit it today. Ill let you know how it goes and I might throw the celica throttle body on as well if I can.

Lol. I forgot to type that part. Dont you need to piggy back with something like the E-Manage when you swap to that manifold?
nope. im running just fine on the stock ecu. also i am a map sensor, its on the manifold just to the left of the coolant hose in the pics. its a bit buried but its there, and it works.
Isnt that the black plastic manifold....so how do you swap it...i mean is it like unbolt the stock manifold and just put in the celica manifold.....(without mods or customizing or so anything) just straight on bolt on?

yeah. the only thing i had to do was dedicate a port on the manifold for my map sensor. you have to use the celica throttle body too, its larger and makes your throttle response noticeably better. the manifold has shorter runners which favor top end more. the car still has good low end and behaves normally. like i said before in this thread, i dont know if it will work with the battery in the stock location. mine was already relocated to my trunk. it looks like it will, but you will have to build your own intake, like i did.
but it changes the sound of the engine. it sounds much meaner afterwards.

nice. i have a ton on my list of to do things before import alliance this year. but i have about 70% of the parts needed for the corolla. just need to get the last few so i can put it all together.....

I still need news struts for the Eibach springs I've bought like 4 years ago

video? i heard one with the 2zz IM on 9thgencorolla (i'll post that link) and it sounded quite the same. but that car was a autotragic which probably didnt help.
