Help! Corolla AirBag Code 74 - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

We shorted out TC and E1 to find the code 74 (7blinks then 4 blinks) on our AirBag light. Does anyone have any idea what that particular code means? We can't find it anywhere. BTW its a 2001 Corolla LE.

When dealing with the airbag system it would be best to take it to a shop that has the correct equipment for it. You could search online for a list of trouble codes but i'm assuming you already tried. I'll try checking a few places and get back to you. Even if you do figure out what the code is you will not want to service it yourself unless you have knowledge about airbags. They can be quite dangerous to work on

Ok finally figured it out. It was the drivers site seatbelt retract area. Pulled it all apart to find a split wire. No airbag light now!!!
