H4 Hi/Lo Relay Question

Hi guys,
I've been searching all over the forum and can't seem to find my answer so i guess i'll just ask it.
I have a H4 Hi/Lo HID Kit from VVME.com
I recently purchased a H4 Hi/Lo relay harness since one of my lights keeps flickering and shutting off (lack of power i guess)

the relay has been installed, but i still have some problems. No lows and hi's are messed up since on side has both HID's and Low's lighting up at the same time (prolly polarity issue)

Now here are my questions :
1- What the hell am i supposed to do with the red and black wires that are comming out from this connector? Do i have to strip em and plug em somewhere? or are they meant to stay like this?

2 - Do i have to disable DRL even if i have a RELAY that gets 100% power from battery?
3 - Should i have my HID's on highs and halogen on lows or the other way around?

I am eargerly waiting for an answer and my hood is already popped up and ready for a fix!

Thank you !
Bryan

One of the main problem you have is that you haven't disabled the DRL. I bet if you disable the DRL, that will solve all your problems. Second, a true H4 bi-xenon wiring harness will not have wires like those hanging. You should go to DDMtuning.com and get one from them.

Doesn't the relay take care of the DRL? and i figured that the top wire is the power for the hid when you normally dont have the relay, thats why its off...i also solved the problem where my halogen would turn on at the same time as my hid on my passenger side. I unplugged the harness on the passenger side, taped it, and hid it.

Now, thing is, my hid's are in my hi and my halogens, well, they simply don't light up...i tried switching the connector side in case it was reverse polarity but maybe im not getting the connector pinout right

Okay, we need to start from further back like what year is your Corolla? From your description, it sounds like you have an 01/02 which has the separate low and high beams, but for some reason you're using an H4 hi/lo bi-xenon kit.

I have a 1999 VE Corolla.

I am not using a bi-xenon though, i have a h4-2 kit that has the xenon bulb and the halogen bulb

the relay does not take care of the drl. The only thing the relay does is act like a switch as to where the power will be drawn by the headlight. Without a relay, most of the power is being drawn from the wires of the headlight switch. If the wires are not big enough to supply the current needed by the headlight, the wires can either burn out or cause your HID to malfunction. By using a relay, it negates the full current draw from your switch and uses the relay switch to make a direct connection to your battery so that hid then uses the power directly from the battery and not pull it from your headlight switch.
