how to remove aftermarket cd player

hey guys. kind of a weird question but how do i remove the aftermarket cd player that came with my car? i bought it used, and now I need to rewire the rca's that go to the amplifier in the trunk.
the cd player that's in is a single-din Pioneer unit. fits like a glove and looks stock, so i'm assuming it was installed using a standard kit.

how does one usually get access to behind the cd players and stuff? where are the screws? i need that kind of info i guess.

thanks

If this is in a corolla .. you remove the trim around the radio. It just pops right out. There should be a slot under the trim for a flat head. After you remove the trim unscrew the 4 bolts. Your radio should be able to come out with ease. If you still can't remove after these verbal instructions bring it to someone capable of removing your radio.

thanks for the info. that'll do nicely.

sorry i forgot to mention it's for a '99 Corolla (not sure which trim, bought it used recently). i've installed nav systems, dvd players, backup cameras, game systems, amplifiers, speakers, lights, etc. i'm just new to the 'rolla and haven't had much time to learn about modding it.

thanks for the help
