Question Do MAP sensors (such as in my 99 Prizm) ever need to be cleaned? (pics included)

Some cars have a Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor. Mine has a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor. I have heard that MAF sensors can be cleaned with a spray can of CRC MAF Sensor cleaner, as part of routine maintenance. I was wondering if MAP sensors either can or need to be cleaned in a similar manner. Here's a close-up of the part:

Here's a pic of the part installed in my car:

not really, only time it could need to be cleaned would be if the port on it became clogged. its just a pressure transducer and has a small hole in it thats open to the manifold to read pressure changes.

i was hunting around the engine bay of my dad's corolla but couldn't find a maf sensor. i did however find a sensor that looked like a map sensor. i then did a search and came across this thread...so which cars had a map and which ones have a maf? why did toyota switch between the two?

98-99 has map sensors, the 00-02 has maf. maf is much more precise in its measurements, so it is possible to keep the fuel mixtures closer to an optimum balance for driveability and fuel economy. plus toyota also swapped to vvt-i and coil on plugs at the same time.
