Hood liner torn to shreds.

My hood liner was oil soaked and sagging, so I decided to take it off the car and pressure wash it. Bad idea, I have a gas pressure washer which shoots out at around 3000 psi. Needless to say hood liner is torn to shreds. Where can I get another one and how much do they go for?

Thanks,
Vik

Browse your local junkyard.

You might be able to get it on the cheap.

are you talking about the foam padding underneath the hood?

I don't know where you could get a replacement besides the obvious places (junkyards, any online retailer using google), but would you consider getting something aftermarket that might absorb some engine noise?

A bodyshop is another good source for the underhood liner.

Its just that I dont want the heat from the engine to damage paint + the noise is up there too.
