How do these look?

Just installed new plugs and wires on my 98 corolla.

Just wondering if after 50 miles this much carbon should be present.

Car burns about 1 qt of oil every 1500-2000 miles. However is the carbon from the car running too rich perhaps?

I also had a cylinder 2 misfire code, but am not sure if it was from before the change or after, as I had evap codes that I never clear and never bothered to see if there were any new codes before the change.

its kind of hard to tell with those pictures. after 50 miles they will look like they will for the next few thousand miles. once they get put in they get dirty and stay dirty but with these new plugs they shouldnt look too bad even after so many thousand miles. You should start by clearing those codes and/or fixing them first and then see how the plugs look. Also if it's only cylinder 2 misfiring you should compare that plug to the rest.

Yeah sorry about the pics, they were taken on my cell phone. I looked at all the plugs and they all looked the same. So I am not thinking its just a cylinder 2 thing.

I did clear the codes and so far no misfire code yet, just the usual evap codes.
